Visitors to the recent REMADAYS 2016 exhibition in Poland were entertained and impressed in equal measure by the Lightbar printing and Smart car wrapping demonstrations on the FASTCOM stand.
FASTCOM used the exhibition to showcase the ‘instant application’ properties of Lightbar UV Light ink technology by printing and instantly applying the vinyl graphics to a Smart car. Of course, there’s nothing new about wrapping a car at a trade show but the FASTCOM application team were doing it with output taken straight from the printer on the stand and the company believes that this is an industry first.
Nick Wintle, Managing Director at CSL Digital – the digital print solution specialists responsible for developing and distributing Lightbar UV Light ink technologies, certainly agrees, “In over 20 years of attending trade shows, this is the first time that I’d seen a vehicle being wrapped with printed vinyl taken straight from the printer. It was a show winning performance. Given the size of the audiences that FASTCOM attracted with these demonstrations, visitors to the exhibition were of the same opinion.”
Lightbar printers combine the very latest UV Light ink chemistry with the quality and reliability of Roland DG production technology. For the past two years or more, Lightbar printers have been gaining significant market share thanks to the print output’s enviable reputation for instant usability straight from the printer and impressive resistance to chemicals and abrasion without the need for any form of lamination in all but the harshest situations.
Nick concludes, ”…our Lightbar UV Light ink technology delivers dry, durable print that’s ready to finish, apply or ship out to customers the moment it leaves the printer. Providing a same day service for durable print is an attractive proposition for any sign, display or graphics business. This ability to produce, finish and apply vehicle graphics without the delays associated with drying and out gassing is proving to be a particularly powerful motivation for businesses currently investing in Lightbar printers and printer/cutters.”
